Rep. Gonzales to Newsmax: US, Mexico Must Partner, Not Blame on Border

Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, said Wednesday on Newsmax that the United States and Mexico should work together to address security challenges at the border instead of assigning blame.

Gonzales, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, emphasized the need for cooperation between the United States and Mexico in dealing with border security and cartel violence, saying the two countries must work together rather than pointing fingers.

Appearing on “The Record With Greta Van Susteren,” Gonzales responded to questions about Mexico’s decision to send 10,000 troops to its border with the United States, a move prompted by pressure from former President Donald Trump’s tariff threats.
